These terms cover the 420 Maps directory at 420maps.co. Using the site means accepting them. They are written to be read: if something here is unclear, ask us rather than guess.
By using 420 Maps you represent that you are at least 18 years old. The site also asks you to confirm this before the map opens. That confirmation is your statement, not a check we have carried out — we do not verify anyone's age from the website alone.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 we close it.
420 Maps is an information directory. It lists places that publicly present themselves as cannabis social clubs, so that an adult looking for one can find out that it exists, roughly where it is, and how to contact it. That is the whole of what the directory does.
To be specific about what we are not, because people assume otherwise:
Nothing on 420 Maps is legal advice or medical advice. Cannabis law differs between countries and between regions of the same country, it changes, and it is enforced differently in different places. Whether you may lawfully join or visit a particular club, and what you may lawfully do there, is a question for you — and, if it matters to you, for a lawyer in that country. Do not treat a listing as permission.
Do not travel on the strength of a listing. Clubs are private associations. They set their own membership rules and they can refuse anyone, on the day, for their own reasons — including being full, being closed, requiring an existing member to introduce you, requiring residency or a particular document, requiring a waiting period, or simply declining.
If you book flights, a hotel, a taxi, fuel, parking or anything else in the expectation of being admitted to a club you found here, you are taking that risk yourself. We are not liable for travel, accommodation or any other cost or loss if a club turns you away, has closed, has moved, has changed its rules, or is not what you expected.
Contact the club and confirm before you commit money.
Listings are built from information that is already public. Depending on the club, that includes:
Separately from the above, we use one Google Business Profile check per published club per month, asking a single question: does Google still show this business as operating? A club Google reports as permanently closed comes off the map. Nothing else about a club is taken from that check.
We do not publish Google's star ratings or review counts anywhere on 420 Maps. Ratings shown on a club card are from 420 Maps members only.
We check what we can and record why we published each club. We cannot keep 1,100 independent private associations accurate in real time, and we do not claim to. Treat every field as a starting point for a phone call:
| Field | What you can rely on |
|---|---|
| Map pin | Each listing says how precise it is. Exact means the venue. Street means the street from an address register and the door is unknown. Approximate means the town centre, because we could not place the venue. Never assume the pin is a doorway. |
| Opening hours | Set by the club and changed without telling us. Clubs close for holidays, staffing and inspections. Confirm before travelling. |
| Membership rules, joining fees, prices, minimum age | The club's own, entirely. They change, and they may differ from what a club told us or published earlier. |
| Phone, website, social links | Found publicly and matched by name. A club may have changed number, let a domain lapse, or share a name with another business. |
| Whether the club exists, is open, or is trading | Checked monthly, not daily. A club can close the week after we checked. |
| Photographs | Either uploaded by a verified manager of that club, or placed by us from the club's own public profile. We do not guarantee a photo is current. |
| Member reviews | The opinion of the member who wrote it, not ours, and not checked by us for truth. |
We do not record where every individual field came from, and we do not claim to. If a listing is wrong, tell us and we will look at it.
Whether a club appears on 420 Maps, how it is described, and where it appears are our editorial decisions. We may withhold a club, remove a club, correct a club's details, change how a club is shown, or decline to list a club at all. A club has no right to be listed, no right to any particular position, and no right to stay listed. We do not have to give a reason, although we usually will if a club asks.
Some placements are commercial, and we label them. Where a club has paid for, or agreed commercial terms for, a featured position, that placement is marked Sponsored. Paying changes where a club appears; it does not change how we verify it, and it does not make the disclaimers in section 2 any weaker — a sponsored club is not endorsed either.
The site also carries advertising for Cludabra, cannabis club software. Cludabra and 420 Maps are under common ownership, so treat those as our own promotion rather than independent recommendation. Advertising is labelled.
Ordinary search results and map listings are ordered by the market or area you are looking at, then by how closely a club matches what you typed, then by name. Sponsored placements are shown above or alongside ordinary results and are labelled as such. Nothing a member does — a review, a rating, a saved club — is sold, and no club can pay to change another club's position or to have a review removed.
Every club has a public page that anyone can open. You need a free account, and to be signed in, to see the map, the full list of clubs and search. The same account lets you write a review, upload photographs as a club manager, or use 420Pass when it is available.
Member reviews are the part of 420 Maps that members make. Keep them worth reading.
By posting, you confirm that the content is yours to post, that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that it does not break any law that applies to you.
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, adapt for display, publish, display and distribute it on 420 Maps and in our own promotion of 420 Maps, for as long as your content is on the site, and to keep operational backups for a reasonable period afterwards. That licence is transferable only to whoever takes over the operation of 420 Maps under section 16, and sublicensable only to the suppliers who host and deliver the site for us. It does not let us sell your content to anyone else.
We may remove or refuse anything that breaks these rules or the law, and we may remove content without removing your account.
If you want to manage a club's listing, ask, and tell us in writing why you are entitled to speak for that club. We check before granting access, and we may refuse or revoke access at any time.
By asking for or holding manager access you confirm that you are authorised by the club to act for it, and that what you publish about it is accurate and not misleading. Access is personal to you and cannot be transferred; tell us if you stop being entitled to it.
Manager access lets you correct your own club's contact details, summary, opening hours, amenities, minimum age, and photographs. It does not let you:
Publishing false or misleading information about a club, using manager access to promote something other than that club, or using it to obtain members' details, ends the access and may end the listing.
420Pass is a time-limited access and benefits programme created, operated and sold by 420 Maps. A valid 420Pass gives its holder the specific benefits advertised for participating clubs during the pass's validity period, subject to these terms and to any eligibility requirements shown before purchase.
420 Maps is the seller. Payment for a 420Pass is made to 420 Maps for participation in the 420Pass programme. It is not a payment to a club, and it is not a payment for cannabis or any cannabis product.
A 420Pass does not include cannabis, cannabis products, or credit towards either. It is not membership of any club, and it does not give an unconditional right of admission. Any lawful relationship or transaction between a club and its own members is separate from 420Pass and is governed by that club's rules and the law that applies to it.
Only clubs identified as participating in 420Pass take part. A club appearing anywhere else in the directory does not accept 420Pass, and its appearance in the directory says nothing about the programme.
Participating clubs agree to recognise a valid 420Pass and to provide the advertised benefit to an eligible holder. They remain independent organisations, responsible for their own lawful membership, registration, identification, safety and conduct requirements.
A participating club may refuse admission where it has a legitimate reason, including where the holder cannot establish their identity or age, does not meet a published eligibility requirement, refuses required registration, has given false information, breaches reasonable club rules, presents a safety concern, or cannot lawfully be admitted.
If you meet the published requirements and a participating club refuses the advertised benefit without a legitimate reason — or has left the programme during your pass's validity — contact us at hello@420maps.co. Where appropriate we will put one of these right: an alternative participating club, a replacement or extension of the pass, account credit, or a refund of the affected unused pass. Which of those is appropriate depends on what happened; tell us promptly and we will deal with it.
A 420Pass is valid only for the period stated when you buy it, is personal to the holder named on it, and cannot be resold or transferred. You may be asked to show the pass and to establish your identity and age at the club. Additional conditions, if there are any, will be displayed clearly before payment.
Nothing in this section removes a right you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by agreement, including any right to cancel that applies to your purchase. Those rights will be set out with the purchase terms when passes go on sale.
Individual facts about a club — that it exists, its address — are not ours to own, and we do not claim them. What is ours is the directory: the selection of which clubs are listed, the verification and correction behind each one, the recorded evidence for publishing it, the coordinates and precision labels, the descriptions, the arrangement, and the collection as a whole. That work is protected by copyright and by database rights, and we assert both.
Unless we have agreed it in writing, you may not:
Where we have taken data from a source under an open licence, that source's licence governs that source's data and we attribute it on the map. Our rights above are in the directory we built, not in that underlying open data.
If you break this section we may block your access, remove your account, and pursue any remedy available to us, including an injunction and our costs of enforcement. Reasonable technical measures against automated collection are part of running the service, and attempting to defeat them is itself a breach.
The site is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it accurate, online and useful, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any listing is correct at the moment you read it, that a club exists, is open, is lawful, is safe, is suitable for you, will admit you, or will treat you well. We do not promise that the site will keep any particular feature, club, listing or piece of content available, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.
To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, conditions and terms that are not written in these terms.
We are responsible for loss we cause you by breaking these terms or by failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for anything else, and in particular, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
Where we are liable, and the law allows a cap, our total liability to you for everything connected with 420 Maps is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or €100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability under mandatory consumer law.
If you use 420 Maps for a business purpose, you agree to cover our reasonable losses arising from your breach of these terms or from content you publish.
Club websites, social media profiles, map links and advertisements lead to sites we do not control and do not check. A link is a convenience, not a recommendation, and it is not a statement that the site is safe, accurate, lawful or still owned by the club. Once you leave 420 Maps you are on someone else's site, under their terms and their privacy policy. If a link here leads somewhere it should not, tell us.
Use 420maps.co/report to report a listing that is wrong or out of date, a club that has closed, a club that should not be listed, a review or photograph that breaks these rules, an impersonation, or a security problem. A club or its representative can ask there for a listing to be corrected or taken down. You can also write to hello@420maps.co.
We read everything and act where we agree there is a problem. We do not promise a particular outcome, and we will not remove an accurate listing or an honest review simply because someone dislikes it.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new version. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
420 Maps is currently operated by its founder as a sole trader. We may transfer these terms, your account, and the operation of 420 Maps to a company we form or control for that purpose — the intention is Cludabra OÜ, to be incorporated in Estonia. Your rights under these terms transfer with them and are not reduced by the transfer; the new operator takes them on as they stand. We will update the operator details here and on Legal information when it happens, and tell you in the app. You may not transfer your own rights under these terms to anyone else.
We have not chosen a governing law for these terms, and they are not governed by the law of any particular country by our choice. If you are a consumer, you keep every protection given to you by the law of the country you live in, including the right to bring proceedings there. When 420 Maps transfers to its operating company these terms will name that company's law, and that change will not remove any mandatory protection you already have.
If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
